Acceptable Use Policy

1. The principle

SignalTo helps you make sure AI Systems and search engines represent your business accurately. It is not a tool for creating a false impression. This policy sets the boundaries that keep the Services lawful, honest, and safe to use. It applies to every Customer, Authorised User, and Partner.

2. You must not use the Services to

(a) break any law, or help anyone else break any law;

(b) publish or promote content that is false, deceptive, or misleading, or that creates a misleading impression about a business, its products, services, qualifications, results, or affiliations, including misleading content directed at AI Systems or search engines;

(c) impersonate a business or person, or claim authority to represent a business or website you are not authorised to manage;

(d) publish content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;

(e) generate or publish content that is unlawful, including content that is obscene, that exploits or endangers minors, or that promotes violence or unlawful discrimination;

(f) manipulate reviews, testimonials, ratings, or endorsements, or present them in a way that is misleading;

(g) misrepresent commercial relationships, sponsorship, or endorsement, including in machine-facing content such as structured data or AI Publications;

(h) interfere with, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other accounts, or the systems they run on;

(i) introduce malware, scrape the Services other than as the Services allow, or place an unreasonable load on the Services in a way that disrupts them; or

(j) use the Services to compete with SignalTo by building or training a competing product from the Services or their outputs.

3. Honest representation

The Services let you shape how a business is described to AI Systems and search engines. You must keep that representation truthful. Correcting an inaccuracy, filling a genuine gap, and presenting real information clearly are all proper uses. Inventing credentials, fabricating facts, or engineering content to make AI Systems state something untrue about a business are not, and may breach the Fair Trading Act 1986 as well as this policy.

4. Your responsibility for published content

You review and approve Suggested Changes before they go live, and you decide what to publish in Standalone Mode. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of everything you approve and publish through or with the Services.

5. Reporting and enforcement

5.1 If you become aware of a breach of this policy, you can report it to support@signalto.ai.

5.2 We may investigate suspected breaches and may remove or disable access to offending content or configuration, and suspend or limit the Services, where it is reasonable to do so. For serious breaches we may suspend or terminate access under the Terms of Service.

5.3 We will act proportionately, and where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you what the issue is and give you a chance to put it right.

6. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is available at signalto.ai/legal/acceptable-use.
